Pre-Selling: the organization of advance canvassing
In 2004, our company has developed and introduced the first in its class solution for portable computers. At present, the MobileAgent solution has stood three versions and is successfully used at small and medium-scale business enterprises, with 3 – 120 mobile agents.
Canvassing, marketing and statistical information
MobileAgent software complex allows for the complete automation of Pre-Selling process. The commercial agent (now called “mobile”) has a portable computer (PPC) with Internet access. Anytime he can update the database of products and counter-agents, warehouse balance and the backlogs of the counter-agent on the current date. The ordering process from a portable computer now takes just a few minutes. The collected orders are also sent using a PC via Internet (GPRS, wireless or cable connection). The commercial agent becomes an important agent within the enterprise, involved in wholesale trade, distribution, production with delivery included and distribution of the goods. He has time to analyze the situation at the commercial unit, to give advice and recommendations to sellers and even to make a small marketing research.
Result of the research: prices and volume of the products of the competition, window dressing and the advertising materials. Besides, there is the possibility of accounting of the machinery of the commercial unit: refrigerators, awnings, bars etc.
The agent does all the operations in a few seconds thanks to the user-friendly and functional interface of the MobileAgent application.
The software complex includes the tools necessary for the management of main database, allowing for the modification of the initial data of product directories, counteragent data and other system parameters, and the compilation of detailed reports and statistics of the mobile agents’ work.
Where necessary, the complex is integrated into the main accounting system of the enterprise. In particular, the MobileAgent software complex was integrated into such accounting systems as SCALA, SAP R/3, 1C and others.
It is hard to revalue the effect of the integration of such systems in the enterprises. Hardness of data collection decreases several times. Mistakes in order placing constitute tenths of percent. In addition, the effectiveness of the advertising based on reliable data collected by the employees “in the field” is guaranteed.
